30 Characters: #3 – Mechaniman

November 3, 2011

Specialist Reginald (Reg) Lukas was assigned at Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, Nebraska as a member of the non-superhuman security force. During a somewhat routine mission against a low level super powered villain, Specialist Lukas was caught in a blast that severely injured his arms, legs, spine and internal organs.  After several days it because clear to doctors that the injuries sustained in the accident were lethal.  The Cybernetics division of Program 402 approached Reg and offered him a chance to become the worlds first cybernetic man.  After a series of surgeries and procedures…Specialist  Lukas had his body rebuilt.

His arms, legs and spine were replaces with ultra powerful cybernetic components plus his remaining bone structure was reinforced.  As a result he has obtained superhuman levels of strength and durability. He is also significantly faster than an average human.  There are energy blasters embedded in the backs of his hands which can emit powerful blasts of energy.  All these components are powered by a very small super high efficient power cell in his torso which draws its power through millions of microscopic solar cells positioned all around his body.

Specialist Lukas now is known by his call sign: Mechaniman and is active duty in Program 402’s superhuman division.
