My buddy Geoff Munn and I were joking last week about Kylo Ren’s lightsaber. From the trailers we’ve seen the blade looks sort of…wobbly. Like maybe he didn’t know what he was doing when he made it? And I said, “Yeah…like a pintrest fail.” Geoff threatened to steal the idea if I didn’t illustrate the idea within 10 days but I knew we should share this one so I offered to color if he drew it.
If you know an artist or care about art, please share this.
Almost a year ago I was hired to color half of a 32 page story called, Earthlock – The Clay Orchid & The Stormdog. This book was to be a companion book to a video game called Earthlock – Festival of Magic that is being developed by indie company called Snowcastle. I completed all the pages and turned them in…and, sadly, editorial decided to “go another direction” with the book. So…that was a giant bummer for me. Still, the pages turned out to be some of the best work I’ve ever done and this past week I finally got the OK to go ahead and post them into my portfolio!
And so, I present to you my pages. All pages drawn by Emerson Dimaya and colored by me!
A while back I colored the cover of a book called Phoenix Element: Normality Twisted by author Jennier Kibble. It was a very fun project and it turned out great!
Now Jennifer has written the second book in the series and I was lucky enough to have been invited to create that cover too! Phoenix Element: Mages of Vane.
And you can get your copy in a bunch of places!
